I thought this quote from Rainer Maria Rilke is really good shift of mindset and mentality about dreams.
“I live not in dreams, but in contemplation of a reality that is perhaps the future.” – Rainer Maria Rilke

The younger sibling takes your parents’ attention from you, the good stuff away, gives you loads of trouble and annoyance but they train u to be caring, sharing, forgiving and considerate. And that’s the greatest gift you can possibly get that will be useful through the rest of your life.
Composed upon Westminster Bridge, September 3, 1802
Earth hath not anything to show more fair:
Dull would he be of soul who could pass by
A sight so touching in its majesty:
This City now doth, like a garment, wear
The beauty of the morning; silent, bare,
Ships, towers, domes, theatres and temples lie
Open unto the fields, and to the sky;
All bright and glittering in the smokeless air.
Never did sun more beautifully steep
In his first splendor, valley, rock, or hill;
Ne’er saw I, never felt, a calm so deep!
The river glideth at his own sweet will:
Dear God! The very houses seem asleep;
And all that mighty heart is lying still!
This poem supposedly inspired Lily Allen’s ‘LDN’, which probably kind of makes parents who are sending kids to study in London a little worried.
Google Calendar is an awesome tool; it helps you plan your weeks way ahead and shows your agenda neatly; best of all, you can access it anywhere with an Internet connection. It’s very smart too, when you need to enter an event, you don’t have to fill up a form with all the fields, you can just enter your information in a single line and they’ll try to predict the relevant information and fill up the right fields.
For example, if you’ve an Economics lecture in ‘Lecture Theatre 3′ from 5pm to 6.30pm on that day, simply click on the day and then type ’5-6.30pm Econs Lecture in LT3′. The time and duration will be entered neatly and then the title of the event would be ‘Econs Lecture in LT3′ and then they will include ‘LT3′ under the location field as well.
It’s all really brilliant until you encounter interesting stuff like when I’m including a public lecture that I’ll be attending on my calendar. For those, I usually know it’s a public lecture so I just type the title of the lecture on the event title. The title of the lecture was “How to Avoid Financial Crises in the Future” and so Google Calendar showed that the location of the event was in ‘the Future’. I was positively amused by that for a while.
Another snippet of life in London.
